We stopped in for breakfast before checking out of the hotel next door. The service wasn't very friendly and it took a while for a waitress to come over to us, but the food was pretty good and at a good price. The 1 egg, 1 pancake, and 1 meat for $4.75 was tasty and cheap! The ambience was a little dated for my taste, and there were spiderwebs near our table in the windows. However, I'd come back for a quick breakfast again.

Great, grandma's cooking serving breakfast only on Sunday's till 1:00 and till 10:45 on the rest of the days. Blueberry scones were excellent w/lots of blueberries. Yummy corn beef hash too. Old building with mismatched tables and dishes make it an iconic experience.

Went here for lunch with a coworker. This is a cute country-style restaurant that makes you feel at home. Friendly staff welcome you into this old home turned dining room. When you walk in you will pass by all the home made baked goodies that remind you of your grandmas treats. Look on the wall to see the daily special. On this day there was a roast beef with mashed potato dish as the special and then chili and chicken dumplings as the soups. I decided to go with the Turkey Ruben on Rye with sweet potato fries. My friend had a cheeseburger. Anytime a menu has a turkey ruben, I tend to choose it. And I am glad I did! Tons of roasted turkey piled high on the toasted fresh rye bread and a perfect amount of sauerkraut. The side of sweet potato fries was huge and way more than I could eat. For a $12 lunch plus tip I would say I am pleased. Things to know - they are only open for breakfast and lunch. They close at 2pm, so plan accordingly. And make room for dessert!

Made from scratch! Love there food. We go there on Sundays after church for their chipped beef -SOS. Best I have had. Bread is home made. That is all I have eaten there so far.... Have eaten it twice. I cannot order anything else. I am HOOKED on it. LOL But I did order a side of 1 pancake and it was good compared to any pancake I had eaten. Pancake actually had flavor. Love this little place and recommend it.

Very homey place. Sundays they serve breakfast til 1pm only, so hurry in! We ordered the eggs Benedict & biscuits & sausage with 2 side orders of bacon! We devoured everything. We will definitely be back. Excellent prices too.

Hole in the wall breakfast place. Not dirty or sketchy, but built in the 50s, no decor or atmosphere, but solid breakfast. Nice omelets, eggs Benedict, killer baked goods. Scones, biscuits.... Yum! Service was fantastic! All meals $7-10 Some outdoor seating. Busy on Sunday AM, but wait is not more than 15-30 minutes. Good alternative to Skillets.

Visiting a friend while in Bonita decided to try " local dive breakfast". Starting with the ambiance: old fashioned in a bad way, dining room needs a major improvement. Food was ok. Nothing to go crazy about. Nice server.

Mainly for Northern Snowbirds who think it's "quaint" and don't mind overpaying for basic fare.

Dolly's serves the best breakfast in Bonita. You'll enjoy eating at Dolly's in their homey, kitchy restaurant complete with chatchskies all over, unmatched chairs, unmatched silverware, unmatched dishes and it's all down home feeling with tummy warming entrees. There's a daily special written on the chalk boards through out the restaurant. It's a local favorite and all of the locals eat here, too. It's not just breakfast and lunch on the menu. Dolly's has home made pies and bakery items, too. You can special order what you'd like to serve in your own home, even for holidays.

I have gone to Dolly's for breakfast, lunch, and to pick up produce and pies. I was pleased with the food and service-especially the pies! If you sit outside stay clear of the tables near the bus bucket, unless you like flies near your food.

The food was great! My boyfriend got the Randy's special and said it was the best breakfast he had on our trip. I would explain Dolly's by saying unique. Most of the plates and chairs are all different. The service was good. The pricing was great, I had eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes and my boyfriend had Randy's special and I picked up an old mans tab and he had coffee and two cinnamon rolls and my bill was $20. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I feel like I finally found the best breakfast in Naples area. Good home style cooking. I can't wait to go back.

They refuse to serve breakfast food all the time, why can't they scramble me up some eggs in the afternoon? The chicken salad was also saturated in mayonnaise, and the pastry I got was mediocre. I will not be coming back.

This place is everything but just a bakery! Dolly is a hoot and full of so much talent outside of baking! Let alone the HOMEMADE pies are delicious. You can even special request gluten free items...I had blueberry muffins which melted in my mouth! We will definitely be back to Dolly's. I love moments like this! :)

Yummy homemade breakfast in a local joint. If you are looking for a hearty breakfast in the area; you should stop here. A lot of locals in here. I had the biscuits and gravy, and it was yummy. A good local stop if you are around.

We stopped for lunch on the way to Fort Myers Beach. We had sandwiches: egg salad and ham & cheese. Both were quite tasty and served with potato chips. We finished with homemade peach pie. This is not a destination restaurant, but it definitely worth a stop.

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I got Florida to visit my daughter. Severs is great. I get the Grill cheese with bacon and tomatoe

Finally got here after wanting to for a while, can't say it was worth the wait. Broken sausage gravy, foul tasting 'fresh sqeezed' OJ (bad batch of oranges?) and a server who constanly forgot about us. Nothing truly awful (besides the OJ) but I wouldn't make the drive out there again for the food. No signature dishes or stand out items. Just basic stuff. Outside was filled with old people smoking and a guy selling tomatoes. Very unique looking dining room, almost like someone's house. It's worth it to visit, it's a unique place in the area, but the food won't be bringing you back unfortunately.

Dolly's is a great place to buy healthy produce at a cheap price! I bought 8 tomatoes there for only $4 and 4 ears of corn for $2! You cannot get this price anywhere else (believe me I have looked). Also, not only is the cost excellent but the produce itself is top quality! I recommend buying their produce as you will not be disappointed!

New to the area. Friends took us to Dolly's for lunch. Patty Melt was delicious as was my husband's club sandwich and French fries. The roast beef and clam chowder looked good as well. Our service was prompt and friendly. I was surprised to read the number of reviews that had bad service. That was not the case for us. We sat outside on the covered porch. Very laid back feeling to the whole place.. Can't wait to go back for breakfast.

Great Breakfast place. Ample seating, good service. Small home style place.

  • Dale M.

I would give it five stars, but I have to agree the service is pretty bad. They usually forget about me when I eat there. However, I love the pies there so much that I overlook the bad service. I just don't go if I am in a hurry. They egg salad and chicken salad are very good, but you HAVE to order pie as it is to die for. I took a neighbor and she said it was the best find ever. Wish they could get competent servers and they would get really good reviews.

We keep driving by this house every weekend and there are all of these people waiting in line. We finally decide to try it out after church. Service moves around here and kind of hard to develop a rapport withe servers. Ours was friendly and polite. My wife ordered one of the specials, pork chops with eggs and home fries. Please learn out to season and cook pork please!!! No flavor, bland and uninspiring. The eggs were eggs but the home fries were terrific. They should have used the seasoning of the fries on the chops! I had pancakes which were good. Let's not overrate a place so I won't with Dolly's. Food is ok but uninspiring. I can get the same food at my local diner.

Everybody talks about how you need to try Dolly's and how it's so good and blah, blah, blah. It's not, you don't need to try it. I came in at noon wanting breakfast, normal for a breakfast eatery. Surprise to me they end breakfast at 11... WTF!?! Soooo okay I'll get a tuna melt instead. Still baffled as to why a diner only open until 2:00 would stop serving breakfast at anytime. But before I get into the food let's get into the decor. First off it looks like someone's house, but not in the good way. Reminds me of my grandmas house, you know, crappy decorations, cheap in matching silverware and plates. Just very dull, not homie just thrift shoppy. But anyways back to the food, I order the tuna melt. And by the way their sides are a bag of lays chips, WOO HOO gas station snacks!!! It's extra for fries or onion rings, REALLY?!? Anyways the waitress brings me my sandwich, seeing an empty water and coffee cup and now after 10 minutes decides she'll get me a coffee while ignoring my water. Okay so the sandwich just looked pathetic the tuna is hanging out the sides, can't eat it without it just falling absolutely apart. Not because it was big or anything just that it was messy. It was soggy, watered down tuna that lacked any sort of flavor. Then the paying process, oh how fun this was. A much older lady is running the register (you walk up to pay) and is using such an old antiquated register. Just a slow process run by a slow, older lady (probably Dolly). Just annoying in general. I wanted to like this place but just couldn't. Much like the decor the food was just dull. If you want a solid breakfast or lunch at all times from open to close I recommend Joe's Diner. I would say I would come back to try breakfast but just not gonna happen.

Visiting family in Florida we came to Dolly's for lunch. The food is better than the appearance of the restaurant. It's a basic breakfast menu in the morning and sandwiches and burgers for lunch. It's a family run establishment and I try to go to as many non-chain restaurants as possible. I figure it could be my only chance to get a particular item served nowhere else. The restaurant is clean but a little older. Be sure to choose wisely when looking for your table. Some tables have padded chairs and some don't. My preference is a padded chair seat. Their beverage cups were squeaky clean and my water tasted like water should. They have coke products, lemonade, and both regular and sweet tea. When first reading the menu i wasn't impressed. Quite a few sandwich choices served with a bag of chips and a pickle with about 6-7 burger options, also served with chips. When my double cheeseburger and my mom's, Dolly's special, sandwich arrived at the table my eyes opened a little wider. Her sandwich wasn't something I could have whipped up at home and my burger must have had close to a pound of meat with no filler. We shared a slice of cherry and key lime pie. They were both good but not great. I'd still try it a different pie if we come back. Service was good and the overall experience was better than I expected upon entering. I'd recommend this spot to anyone wanting a basic lunch that's done right.

My husband and I love this local spot. Both of our favorite thing to order is the Reuben sandwich. Both the turkey and the corned beef Reuben are good, but the corned beef Reuben is the best!! We love the "at home" feel and service, definitely the place we take our friends from out of town for brunch.

Very limited menu. No breakfast specials the day I was here. So I ordered the hungry man special (that's what its called on the menu) and it was very good, except for the undercooked potatoes that came on it. Come on FRY your potatoes people, I asked for them extra, extra crispy please. Homemade sausage gravy, yum. Now the veggie omelette add bacon, well, I could not get over all the canned mushrooms in it. I expected more green peppers, onions and tomatoes. This place does sell fresh tomatoes outside. A little more cheese would have been nice too, just barely sprinkled on top. Next time ordering lunch items!

I had the Chilli ... Delicious !!! And the chicken salad fruit salad and it was so big and so delicious !! I couldn't believe how much fruit and how fresh it was ... The owner was so sweet and cute , she told me To come back in one day for pie and coffee and I may have to do that! They make lots Of homemade pies!!!

So glad we tried this spot for breakfast. Great service, great food. Funky decor, and off the beaten path. Seemed to be lots of locals as opposed to tourists. We did not try any of the fantastic looking pies, but I'm sure they are epic. If you tire of the madness of other well rated spots give this one a try. Great value and a fun place.

Terrific breakfast place, since 1994. Dolly is a spunky lady who manages her restaurant by day and is an accomplished ballroom dancer by night. Her pics flank the cash register. Outside is a produce counter with a few vegetables or fruit in season. Today it was tomatoes ($4 a box), cukes, onions right out of the ground with a full stalk of green, and strawberries. Dolly's has really inexpensive breakfasts which equally attract the well-heeled, the high heeled, and the run- over- at- the- heels crowds. The baked goods can be purchased boxed and to go, but none looked that irresistible. The orange juice is pulpy and icey fresh. Just right to start a tropical day in unassuming surroundings.

Wonderful little cafe! It is truly like you are having breakfast at your grandmas! I had the steal & cheese omelette and it was good. Real home cooking. Met dolly and got a hug. What a great personality! Found out she is from Mn where I grew up. Prices are unbeatable but they only take cash. Be prepared for a wait.

Cute and comfy spot with lots of outdoor seating. I really appreciate the natural ambiance. I have not tried any of the foods, but I do like the local produce available here. Squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, and other fresh produce is available. Make sure you bring cash. The guy selling the veggies says he does not even have a bank account when i asked him about taking credit or debit cards.

The place has a great mom and pop feel to it. I saw someone with a cheeseburger and knew and I had to have one. It was absolutely delicious. Topped it off with a slice of apple pie which was also delicious. You could tell the apples were fresh and made me want to try out the rest of their (very extensive) pie list.

Genre for rating: breakfast cafe This place is a more down-home, cuter version of the old 41 cafe. If you are in the mood for a good old fashioned, simple American breakfast, this is your place. No frills, great prices. Service is friendly and quick as well. What I get: A basic eggs and bacon type breakfast Best bet: when simplicity and breakfast is on your mind, but you want the feel of a country kitchen

What I'll remember most about Dolly's is that our waitress was probably among the worst servers I've ever had. She forgot drinks on multiple occasions, wrote part of the ticket on a separate piece of paper that temporarily got lost and delayed some food from coming to the table, and was generally scatterbrained, forgetful and inattentive. I don't frequently dwell on substandard service, but if it's really bad, it leaves a mark. The food at Dolly's was mediocre. I ordered the eggs with corned beef hash. I requested the eggs "hard poached" and they were certainly not what I've come to expect from eggs that I request as such. The corned beef hash was the definition of "meh": the very edge was crisp, but the rest was all soggy, and the flavor was just so-so. The dish also came with hash browns and a biscuit that were just average. They also advertise themselves as a "produce patch" and sell produce and other goods. When I asked for hot sauce, they brought me out (in addition to regular hot sauce) a bottle of their "datil pepper sauce," which they sell. It was basically a somewhat spicy ketchup. Interesting, but not my thing. At least, not on eggs. My wife ordered a fried egg sandwich and liked it, although I must wonder how hard it must be to screw up a fried egg sandwich. She also liked her home fries. We went at around 9:30 am on a Sunday and had no wait, but by the time we were done, there was a large crowd out the door waiting to be seated. So, be aware that this place gets hoppin'.

Boy oh boy. This place is very deceiving on it's size. It holds a bunch of tables and they are stacked close together. I found the food, and prices to be good. The service not so good. Our server was just overwhelmed by the amount of work she had to do and even though she wrote it all down she could not get anything correct. When I walked in and and sat down it did not take me long to know I was going to get one cup of coffee and no refills. It was that obvious how the service was going to be as there was no bus boys to help out. I ordered my coffee and a glass of water. I needed the water as I only got one cup of coffee. For my meal ordered the pork chop and eggs with whole wheat toast. Nothing wrong with the food. Other than I got mine then the rest of the order around the table just seem to come at different times. Except for the last order which took forever to come. My wife goes up to pay the bill and the man at the register says to her thank you sir. Smooth move. And there is no mistaking my wife as a man she has all the curves. I will go back but boy when I walked out they were lined up outside the place. So come early on Sunday. They also close at 1pm and only serve breakfast of the Lords day.

Well... I have friends who swear by this place. Sadly, I can't. Perhaps I caught the cook on a bad day. The biscuit was out of a tube; the sausage was store-bought and warmed over; the grits were instant and watery and no matter HOW much salt and butter I put on them, they remained tasteless. I had an omelette which was thin, flat, tasteless and looked like it had been made yesterday. This place is not for me. BUT the decor is nice and welcoming... As far as food quality for the money: McDonald's tastes light years better, and is much cheaper.

Love it here! Every time we are in Bonita we eat at Dolly's. Casual, laid back atmosphere gives you the perfect chance to kick back and relax. Service is friendly, and just the right pace. I love their BLT's, bacon crisp, awesome tomatoes, I've never eaten a better one anywhere else. My kids adore their burgers, the grilled cheese and bacon, the turkey sandwich...you name it, you can't go wrong.

With a homey, slightly country feel this place is a good place to get a slice of pie or some comfort food. They're egg salad sandwich is good as were the french fries and chicken salad sandwich.

I found this place when I was out with my friend looking for a place to eat on Bonita Beach Road and I'm so glad we found it. The menu has great choices for lunch and breakfast and for affordable prices. Eating there feels like you're eating at an old friend's house because it's so warm and cozy and laid-back. The servers are all so friendly and never keep you waiting. I love the chicken salad fruit platter. Their homemade chicken salad is the best I've ever had and it comes in a giant scoop on a plate surrounded by tons of fresh fruit. It's served with a unique raspberry poppyseed dressing that tastes great with the salad. While you are there you have to save room for a piece of their pie! I've only tried the chocolate cream pie so far, but it was so soft, creamy and chocolatey. The best part about it was the crust. You can tell it's homemade because it doesn't taste like any other crust I've ever had before. It's almost moist and flaky. They also sell fruit out front and local honey.

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I got Florida to visit my daughter. Severs is great. I get the Grill cheese with bacon and tomatoe

With a homey, slightly country feel this place is a good place to get a slice of pie or some comfort food. They're egg salad sandwich is good as were the french fries and chicken salad sandwich.
